BG2 saves not working on ubuntu.

Hi all

 

First I want to thanks all for this app allowing my favourite games to be played on my favourite operating system. I have a windows partition with BGT installed. Both games from GOG and the fixpacks etc from this most excellent site.

 

However when I save in single player, it saves to mpsave. I then copy the save over to the saves directory. In the console it moans about a world map not present in the save?

 

I know the intro scene of BG2 by hart now due to all the iterations I tried to resolve this and everytime having to sit through "The child of Bhaal has awoken..."

 

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

 

EDIT:

 

Did a clean install of only BG2 and saves works. So this issue entirely related to installed mods.

you did not say anything about gemrb yet, like version or configuration and I can only guess that you try to play your Windows BGT installation from gemrb on ubuntu.
