Changing lovetalk interval during existing game

When I first installed the mod I was used to the BG2 Jaheira style of romance subplot that took hours upon hours. So when installing this mod, I overshot it and set the lovetalk interval to something that's a little too low, not realizing these romances aren't as lengthy (not that that's a bad thing).

 

My question is, can I change the lovetalk intervals without reinstalling everything? I've looked up the values in GTIMES.IDS and found six entries:

2700 AJROM_TIMER

2700 BRROM_TIMER

2700 COROM_TIMER

2700 DYROM_TIMER

2700 SHROM_TIMER

2700 XAROM_TIMER

 

2700 obviously being the number of realtime seconds that must pass in between each lovetalk. Ideally I'd like to set it to something higher, like an hour or 75 minutes.

 

Would it be as simple as changing the numbers in GTIMES.IDS and saving the file? Or is there something more complicated I'd have to do as well?

 

Any help would be appreciated.
