Triggering BG1NPC content in SOD?

Hi! Apologies if this might have been answered anywhere, but I was curious if BG1NPC content could, theoretically, continue in SOD (with EET/EndlessBG1, for what it's worth) if it wasn't triggered in the first game? Perhaps with the help  NearInfinity? Banters, romance talks, etc. I didn't usee the 'canon party' (Jaheira, Khalid, Minsc and Dynaheir) a whole lot prior to the expansion, and I would love to experience their friendships/romances in SOD if possible. I'm aware there are some inconsistencies between how BG1NPC portrays these characters vs how Beamdog does so, but I am of the (perhaps naive) thought that this would be less jarring if you are only just "getting to know" them. I can certaInly close my eyes to some inconsitencies nonetheless. Thank you in advance!
