  1. Fair enough. Another good idea to at least experiment with.
  2. Does anyone know where to find the spell "on hit" animation in DLTCEP? I have my entire spell pack mod ironed out and working aside from this last bit of polish. I can see that in NI there is an option for this but NI is a bit more difficult to work with, and selecting an effect doesn't really give you any idea what you are choosing. For the sake of example, Im working on an offensive fire spell. I tried looking at other fire spells to see which effect they use and they dont seem to have an on hit effect that I can find..... Maybe because they are AOE? DLTCEP seems easier to use as it plays you the sounds and shows you the spell icons in real time, I just cant figure out which entry shows the on hit effect (IE the animation that plays on the target when an offensive spells successfully lands on an enemy).
  3. I totally understand now, idk how I got things so messed up. Thanks for everyone who took the time to help and provide explanations. As much as I have made myself look like an idiot here I'm actually a dev for hundreds of skyrim and total war mods. I'm looking forward to making some cool stuff with IE games.
  4. Ok Thanks for the explanation, so if I accidentally set things to Czech on the first mod I installed, how come most of the in game things were not "Invalid"? This is because the default game is set to English, but mods were set to Czech and I just didn't notice anything as invalid because I hadn't yet seen an item or a conversation that was added by a mod yet.
  5. I had to start a new game, but I haven't gotten to the point in the game yet where I was finding "Invalid" items. Out of all the mods that I have, every single Installation.exe has English set to "0"..... except one. This is the first mod that I would install in my order so I'm guessing that I accidentally set that mod to Czech and (if I am understanding this correctly) that created a weidu file that was set to Czech, so all my other installs were set to English and this caused conflicts in the in game text. As far as what others have said, ever single mod that I install asks me for the language first, not just the first one that is run. I think I understand what is happening now, so hopefully I wont encounter any more issues.
  6. I was referring to a guide for the installation for mods. This weidu file...... I'm not understanding the order of how to do it and set things up properly to not get the "Invalid" error
  7. Is there a guide for all this? Im so confused now I its a lost casuse. Thanks for attempting to help me through this but I just need a step by step guide or an information source on how to do this properly.
  8. So I go to any mods installation. Set the language as English. Cancel installing the actual mod. THEN go to the weidu file and set it to English. THEN go back and install the mod? Im so confused now I dont know how to do this. Is there a guide that gives you a step by step process on how to do all these crazy installation steps?
  9. Ok so when I install a mod it asks me which language to install the mod as the first question. You type "0" to run the mod in English. 1. So I install ALL my mods on a clean install of IWD. 2. After all my mods are installed THEN AFTER I change the weidu file to english? Then Im good to go?
  10. Thank you for the help. So I installed the game fresh and started it up. Set the language to English, but there is no weidu file in the game directory? I'm so confused..... is there a guide on this somehwere? I spent hours looking through mods and never saw any directions about configuring a Weidu file..... Can you give me an idiot explanation on the proper order of setting up my game?
  11. Interesting. I dont remember ever seeing an option to select the game language the first time I opened it. But, the steps I outlined in my previous post are correct for proper setup right?
  12. OK so clean install -Start the game (do I have to start a new game or just start the game to the main menu?) -Exit the game and change the WeiDu.conf file to en_US -Install all mods in English Will my saved game still exist or do I have to start all over?
  13. I went into the WeiDu.conf file and changed it to en_US. I dont know why it was set to something else. This did not fix the item in game. Do I need to start a new game from scratch in order for this to take effect?
  14. The file is named "cdtweaks-v9" I got it from this website.
