  1. Any idea is Artemius is still active here? I keep looking but am not sure. I have a few bugs to throw out there regarding House Rules. For instance, one of the House Rules adjusts the Weapon Proficiencies, allowing Clerics and Mages to use Crossbows. The problem I am running into, at least on BG EE thus far, is the Cleric is able to use the Crossbows, but not crossbow bolts. Another bug, this time from Bardic Wonders, allows for Armored Casting, giving the Bard a little more capability. This has the effect of crossing over to Mage and Sorcerer characters, which should still be banned from Armored Casting. I think there are a couple of other bugs, but can't think of them off the top of my head. Other than the Pale Master kit should actually be a Mage and not a Sorcerer. But, that's just my NWN2 voice coming out.

  2. So, I noticed something. There appears to be an issue or 2 with Divine Remix. First, even with the fix by ToToR, the sphere system seems to be incompatible. That is how the log puts it. Also, I found the following issues:

Just came across something. A few issues with the Cyric priest. In the ReadMe, the Advantages are as follows:

    Advantages:
    – May coat <PRO_HISHER> weapon once per day every 5 levels (starts at 1st level with one use), as detailed below

POISON WEAPON: Attacks made in the next round with that weapon will inject the poison into the target, dealing out 1 damage per second for 24 seconds (3 damage for the first 6 seconds). A saving throw vs. poison limits damage to 12 total.

    – May use Dread Blast once per day every 10 levels (starts at 1st level with one use), as detailed below.

DREAD BLAST: Fires a ray of negative energy that deals 4d8 damage +1/level (max +20) and confuses target for one round (save vs. spell at -2 to negate confusion)

However, in the description within the game, it shows this:

-Spiritual Weapon: Long Sword - Razor's Edge once per day. Razor's Edge is the Spiritual Weapon of Strifeleader's of Cyric and is wielded as if the caster had Grand Mastery in the weapon. It is a regular weapon at levels 1-5, +1 from 6-10, +2 from 11-15, +3 from 16-20, +4 from 21-25, and +5 therafter. Duration is 1 round per level up to 20 rounds. *****There is a button on the special abilities menu called Quick Weapon, but it does nothing.

-May coat weapon in poiton once per day per 6 levels. *****This ability is non-existent. Supposed to be once at 1st level, then an additional use every 5 levels, starting at level 5

-Dread Blast *****The notes say it is supposed to start at level 7, but it is available immediately.

I have forwarded this info on to ToTor and CamDawg, but maybe someone else out there has something to controbute to these issues.

  3. So, with a bunch of experimentation, I have solved my issue here, at least from my perspective. All of the mods that I had installed before Artisan's Kitpack, Bardic Wonders, and Artisan's House Rules, were effectively in the way. The .exe files that were left in the game directory after installation were interfering with the installation of Artisan's mods. By removing them, which does not harm the items already installed, I was able to install the final 3 mods I wanted. If you think this is wrong, please let me know. But, I got it to work.

  4. There are a few mods out there that I have been playing with. I have followed what they say regarding order of installation to the best of my ability. However, it seems I am having problems trying to install the Artisan't Kitpack and Bardic Wonders to my collection. Here are the mods I have and the order in which I have installed them. I think the order might be off with the D5 Random Tweaks since it seems to have affected Divine Remix a little. But, here is the list of mods I am using, in the order that I have them installed, and the additional mods I want to add. PLease help me here so I can get all the fun out of BG EE that I am trying to get.

Spell Revisions, IWDification, D5_Random_Tweaks, Forgotten Armament, BG Random Quests/Encounters, Divine Remix, Morpheus.

I want to add Artisan's Kitpack and Bardic Wonders to these. If there are certain aspects of the mods I have installed that I shold skip, please let me know. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

  5. Not seeing the link you mentioned, but I just discovered a bug with Divine Remix. The Sunfire ability of the priest of Kossuth does not work. There is nowhere for me to click to be able to use it.

UPDATE: Found the link. Will have to play with that tomorrow. But, in that documentation that ToToR has above, the Sunfire ability doesn't seem to be addressed. ToTor? Any thoughts?

Quick question: Do I have to remove the Divine Remix I currently have installed, or will this overwrite the issues addressed?

  6. When I download a mod, there are two possible options to install: 1) The mod is a self extracting .exe file, in which case I simply double click on it and follow the instructions and prompts to install, or 2) The mod is a compressed folder that I have to extract, move the contents to the BG EE install directory, then double click on the appropriate "setup_***" file and follow the prompts  to install.

Divine Remix: As far as I can tell, the problem, at least for me, is the Sphere system. If I don't install it, everything else works fine.

As for SR, I guess I'll hold off on using that for BG EE for now.

    Thanx.

The instructions for installing spell revisions are right there on the README.md

    To recap:

    1. Requirement: have weidu installed and on your path.

    2. Download the latest source release.

    3. Unzip the zip and copy the spell_rev subfolder to your BG installation.

    4. Run "weinstall spell_rev"

This all seems obvious to me, but I am on linux, and I regularly work on the command line, so I am not even aware of what problems a new user might face. So, first question: how can the instructions be improved? Second question: how can the visibility of such instructions improve?

@Mike1072I am very busy atm, but will try to push a release this weekend, no promises though. Furthermore, have been mucking around with a mod on top of SR lately and I think I found another bug, this time in the Banishment spell, so would like to get that in first.

Perhaps, specific installation instructions for each operating system. "weinstall spell_rev" is foreign to me. Once it was explained to me, especially that I needed to account for the GOG version with SoD by using the DLC Merger first, I was able to get through it better. Another thing that might help would be to explain each option given during installation a little bit better. I am having trouble with Divine Remix installing. Not certain what some of the Yes/No options are for and not certain about other options as well. Regardless, after making all of my decisions for that one, I get nothing. I will start BG EE, select Single Player, then select New Game. At that moment, it freezes and creates a crash log. Not sure where that would be located, but with help, I could post or forward that to get additional assistance.

I thanx all of the people on here that have helped me so fay. I am having a bit more fun with the additional content I have been able to install thus far.

Regarding my issue with the Divine Remix installation:

So, I tried installing the individual components differently that I have before. I notice that is skips over the Battleguard of Tempus, sayin that it already exists. Then, is skips the Battleguard of Tempus for Branwenas as result. Why is it skipping in the first place? The only Tempus kit I have is the original. and, at the very end, I get a Fatal Error: Sys_error(".\\lang\\en_us\\dialig.tlk: Permission denied")

  8. So, I have BG: EE and am using Spell Revisions, Baldur's Gate Mini Quests and encounters, Random Tweaks, all without issue. After I installed this, the game would launch, then allow me to select Single Player. Once I selec New Game, the game crashes. Any thoughts? I have an intense desire to putz around with quite a few of these kits.

    Any ideas/thoughts? Please?

Further Update: If I install without using the Spheres, it runs fine.

Suggestion : Install Subtledoctor's Random Tweaks (a.k.a. D5_Random_Tweaks) in combination with Spell Revisions. It makes a lot of sensible small changes that open up all kinds of possibilities, especially for low-level spells.

So, am I to download all of those files individually? Or is there a way to acquire them in one DL archive?

  10. Works now. So, if I want to use any other DLC, I need to do the same thing? Would I use the same procedure for the other games such as BG2 EE, IWD EE? Does it work for IWD 2? just curious. But to restate, if I want to use this for BG2 EE, I first need the DLC Merger installed in that directory, run it, then run the Spell Revisions .exe file and have it installed into the BG 2EE directory, right?
