Thanks to you both, that pretty much answers my questions - I'll give both options a try, and see what works (I'm fairly sure there are some unmaintained mods in my list....)

Hi, I'm trying to do an EET install (with lots of mods), but I'm being stopped by a bug that means I always start in Irenicus' Dungeon, rather than candlekeep, or can't start at all. I never get an option to 'select campaign' when I launch, only the normal choice between SoA, ToB and Black puts. Frequently trying start a single player game just endlessly loops me back to this selection screen; and if I can get into the game (via multiplayer), it starts in the dungeon, not Candlekeep. I've tried adding the EET_gui mod, but that also offers no campaign selection, and always starts in SoD. To avoid any confusion in narrowing down the problem, I'm now only installing DLC merger, EET core and EET end (all latest versions from Github), via Project Infinity. The game versions are Gog V2.5 (for BG1 / SoD) and V2.5.16.6 (For BG2). I assume the errors in the EET install are responsible (not the first one which is something to do with Dorn I think); I've attached a cut-down log file to show the context of the UI.MENU errors. From googling around it seems that could be the cause. There was a hotfix that appeared to fix these problems but it's no longer available, since in theory the latest version of EET fixes them. I could install the 2.6 patch but I want to install lots of mods, and it sounds like it breaks lots of them (but this may be the only solution). Anyway, any help or insight that can be offered would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, TC weidu.log
