Good day! Thank you all for the work that must have gone into all of the mods here. I've played within the various Saga patches, mostly vanilla, but I've been looking to expand upon my adventuring within. For my first complete run through the Enhanced Editions, I thought that I'd try to connect them as much as possible. For the first run, I'm planning to keep things pretty bland, but I've installed the Enhanced Edition Trilogy and am using a few of the Tweaks to unify the run. I have a couple of questions, though. I'm hoping that anyone familiar with EET and the Enhanced Editions might take a moment to explain how a few things will work together.
My first question relates to the world map. Is it truly open where I'll be able to explore the entirety of the Saga, so long as I can travel to the areas to unlock them? Or will I need to progress through each segment of the sage, expansion by expansion and chapter by chapter still? For my first run, at least, I'm planning to keep things pretty linear, so far as progression goes, but at some point, I'm hoping that it will be possible to explore more areas. In itself, does EET open up the entirety of Saga, so far as the world map exploration goes? Or will it require serious modding and/or progression to unlock many of the areas?
My other questions relate to the Black Pits and Icewind Dale additions. Unless I'm completely mistaken about the Black Pits, I don't expect to experience them with my first run through EET. Am I correct in that the Black Pit "expansions" are completely stand-alone additions that don't really connect to the Saga? I've seen a mod or two that look like they might tie them in, but I won't experience any of this content in a "vanilla" EET run? Finally, about the Icewind Dale content, I own all of proper titles needed for it, but it's not complete at this point? I've never completed Icewind Dale 2 yet, so I'm wondering if I'd miss out on quite a bit of content there were I to try to add an unfinished mod to EET? Thank you all in advance for any replies and feedback.
