  1. I have played a bit with ToF installations after level 50 / level cap removal and here are some observations:

    1) CLABPR12.2da seems to be slightly corrupted with "%" character and abilities like GA_%DWWI508

    2) Paladin and Ranger spellcasting tables do not recognize level 50 ruleset and just overwrite existing versions with themselves. And if ranger one can be simply ignored and not installed, the paladin one is bundled with major class revision.

    3) I noticed that revised_thac0.tpa can be tweaked in order to achieve classical uncapped THAC0 progression or whatever progression style player prefers. It would be nice it such possibility could be mentioned in readme (like if You want to achieve hybrid 3edToF thaco and classical Unnerfed version, put -10 as minimun in ...) or put together with all other tweaks in .ini file.

    • Compatibility updates with ToF.

    Thanks for the update!

Meanwhile a minor note regarding ToF compatibility -

Revised Proficiencies component says that it is incompatible with ToF revised races and ToF revised profs... But it actually checks for ToF component 60100 - Low-level HLAs / Feats system.

So either the check or the description is wrong )

  3. Speaking of HLA-system and new kits, I started to think about the possibility to implement sort of 4-ed multiclassing.

I.e. to allow learning other kits' abilities via spending feats for this - maybe they would be a bit weaker then the original versions, but it may spice things a little and add interesting combinations.

Another way here is to reward single-classes kits with some unique bonus not available to multiclasses using this kit. After all, in a game with several mods XP cap is not an issue and multiclasses end up with much more HLAs, spells and abilities.

ToF is not very tolerant of lu***.2da files that don't conform to the legal requirements for a 2da, so maybe check if they're in a corrupt format.

    Thanks for confirmation, David!

After several more tests, it seems that:

Artisan's Barbarian overhaul causes failures in a number of ToF components.

Other Artisan's kits are under further tests.

Edit: It also just got updated today to v4.4, with "Various bugfixes and compatibility changes (mostly HLA-based)". You might want to check again.

Ok, updated AK, installed only new kits, without overhauls... and half of ToF components refused to install! Weird.

It seems that a number of lu***.2da files got either corrupted or changed in ToF incompatible way. Very weird.

I will test a bit more to see, what may cause the problem...

  6. I've tried a full install of ToF on top of Artisan's Kitpack (the only other mod besides Tof) and here are the results:

Almost everything installs without problems - that's great.

    What cannot be installed?

    Thieves Evasion

    Low-Level Feats

    Revised HLAs

Multiclass Kits for cleric-ranger and druid-ranger

Evasion component gives the following error:

    Cleric-ranger and druid-ranger kits give:

    What’s the error message?

Ok, I had a minute to do several tests on totally clean install SR+ToF (beta 2).

    The results are:

4.18 and 4.19 - All spell components installed, but Elementals component gave warnings. Hopefully, they are harmles.

SRR: Yep, adding new ToF spells gives ERROR: [SPWI466.spl] -> [nowhere] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("shouldn't happen")) - seems to be a bug on their side, something for Bartimaeus to sort out later.

Meanwhile, since we are here, I would like to ask Your opinion on the install order of SR-secondary components (fixes for invisibility, deflection, area spells etc). Since ToF adds new spells, should SR secondary components be installed after them? Or is it better to stick to (Full SR) - (Full ToF) install order?

  8. 18 hours ago, DavidW said:

The underlying bug here should be fixed in beta 2, though I haven't checked a SR (far less an SRR) install.

    Thanks for the update!

Currently (beta2) on SR the bug shifted to another section ))

SR spwi466.spl blocks installation of the "Add new arcane/divine spells" components.

I personally wouldn't install my blade kit revisions or allow fighter multiclasses to achieve higher than specialized as it likely conflicts with what ToF is doing. Can you send me your kitlist.2da file, please? I have a suspicion there is a column inserted into it via one of the ToF components.

Or maybe dummy line has to smth to with compatibility issues in case ToF is not last mod installed?

    kitlist.2da

  10. Just for comparison:

Similar error (as well as couple of more errors) on SRR version - weidu and debug attached.

(I understand tha SRR is currently unsupported with regards to compatibilty, but in case of spell tweaks being not applicable... Couldn't that specific tweak be skipped?)

Furthermore - error with "Install all spell tweaks" happened to me on clean 2.6.6 BG2EE install as well 😞

Need to investigate a bit more...

Tested on SR 4.18 - Spell Increase in Power fails in SPPR734... the same way as on 4.19 or SRR
