Do romances work in multiplayer?

Me and a friend are playing the BG2:ToB/Amn and romances don't seem to be activating.

 

Can anyone confirm if romances (aerie, anomen, etc) work in multiplayer? thanks!

I believe that romances should be active, but only for the player who counts as the Child of Bhaal. If the Child of Bhaal doesn't qualify for the romance, there won't be one. You may also need to keep party AI on.

 

There's an NPC here at G3, Amber, who features a romance for Player 2 in a multiplayer game, so the basic scripting system should still work.
