[Potions for NPCs] [Smarter Mages] [Smarter Priests]

A gamer has us reported the following:

 

So people, I stand just before a problem, I can't enter the Firewine ruins, the area is loaded ready, so the circle shuts, then my screen flickers once and it nothing at all happens!

 

At first the Baldur.err:

So I have found the problem namely these were the J#INDI01.CRE them the play to fall has brought. The backup cre of the component SCS "Half the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost" has helped. Hmm and again a mistake caused by this component, the ACBRE2.cre of Breagar NPC leaves the play, after Breagar has injured itself and one wants to enter the smiths fall with the same results in the Baldur.err.

 

Install Component [Potions for NPCs]?
5020 1] All of the potions dropped by slain enemies are recoverable
5021 2] One third of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost
5022 3] Half the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost
5023 4] Two thirds of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost
5024 5] Three quarters of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost
5025 6] All of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost

 

At last we think there could be the same issues with the other options of this component, too.

[smarter Mages]

5030: Silke (Beregost) and Khark (Ogermage, Firewine Ruins) drop a lot of items

[smarter Priests]

Result: The components [smarter Mages] and [smarter Priests] can't be installed at the moment. For [Potions for NPCs] you can take the following two components only:

 

5020 1] All of the potions dropped by slain enemies are recoverable

5021 2] One third of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost

Taimon has told us, that 5020 and 5021 could be bugged, too.

So it is better to not install [Potions for NPCs] until WeiDU v209 is out.

To clarify, I think 5020 should be okay. (It does not use ADD_CRE_ITEM.)

 

And if you are sure that you only have "well-formed" CREs in your game, there shouldn't be an issue with the other potion components.

(With well-formed I mean that the structures in the CRE are in the default ordering. Some mods change the order when modifying things [e.g. BPv177], others ship with CREs where the structures are not in that order [e.g. Indira-BGT]).
