Need help for translating a banter

Hello all...

I'm part of the French-speaking team trying to translate this mammoth of a mod (very affectionately said, of course ! ). I'm dealing with Jaheira's banters, and I'm stuck with one of Yeslick's answers.

@269 = ~Heh! *There's* somethin' I take fer granted. Where I grew up, ye couldn't move fer all the mail n' plate 'bout the place... Persn'ly, I'd just as soon ask Clangeddin fer the bean ta clog more noggins, but then I s'pose I got more stone an' iron in me blood than ye.~

 

So, my question is, quite simply... What does it mean (especially the bold section) ?

Well, it's gibberish but it more-or-less means that he would rather ask Clangeddin for better ways to bash in heads.
