Guest Deific Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 To set the stage... I do a custom install of BG1 with all of the options and install BG:TotSC (again, all the bells and whistles) behind it (just now checking the size of the BG directory, it comes out to 2.51gb). I go to Bioware and pick up the most recent patch 1.1.4315 (bg114315.exe), but ignored the DX8 patch the Bioware recommends for MP (who MPs BG anyway?). It was a fresh install, no unsupported mods included... just the last non-DX8 BG patch. Here's what the debug turns out: WeiDU v 21000 Log C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\setup-widescreen.exe [./Chitin.key] loaded, 238496 bytes [./Chitin.key] 159 BIFFs, 16694 resources [dialog.tlk] loaded, 3100553 bytes [dialog.tlk] 22186 string entries [./Baldur.ini] loaded, 430 bytes Possible HD/CD Path: [C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD1\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD2\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD3\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD4\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD5\] Possible HD/CD Path: [D:\CD6\] [./Keymap.ini] loaded, 4277 bytes [C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\setup-widescreen.exe] Using scripting style "BG1" [dialog.tlk] claims to be writeable. You downloaded and installed the patch for vanilla BG without ToTSC on your BG with ToTSC game. You should have gotten the file named BGTalesUS5512.exe (unless of course you need the UK or International version then it'll be named slightly different). Uninstall/reinstall and use the correct patch then try widescreen mod again...
