berelinde
Use this hot-fix if you are using both Gavin (for BGT/Tutu) and Gavin for BG2 on a BGT installation. It checks for all three parameters during installation. To use this hotfix, just make sure that the game is BGT, that both Gavin mods are already installed, and (on Windows), simply extract the archive. Mac users should do what they usually do to install mods. Windows Hot-Fix Mac Hot-Fix Link to comment

Guest Fennek
Well, when does one have to install the fix (Bg1, Bg2...)? Does it matter if Gavin is already in the party? And what is actually fixed? Link to comment
berelinde
The hot-fix can be installed any time during the BG1 portion of the game, before the transition to BG2. Gavin does not have to be in the party. If you've got BGT installed but plan on starting the game in SoA, you can install the hot-fix any time you want or not install it at all. The only time you need it is for the BG1 to BG2 transition. It's a REPLACE_TEXTUALLY that replaces ~DestroySelf()~ with ~LeaveParty() DestroySelf()~. This removes the BG1 instance of the NPC from the game. Link to comment
