The first character of the numeric code identifies the spell type:

1 Cleric

2 Mage

3 Innate

4 Trap?

These actually indicate the spell's prefix:

1 SPPR

2 SPWI

3 SPIN

4 SPCL

The first 3 at least apply to BG1 as well.

 

 

While I'm here, the IDS page index for IWD2 (here) has the title "2DA Files" instead of "IWD2 Identifiers".
