IWD Tweaks request: Raising Elves

I am a bit rusty and getting back into the IE games again. If I remember correctly, IWD and IWD2, unlike BG and BG2, follow the pen and paper rules about Raise Dead and disallow raising of Elves/Drow.

 

This is supremely annoying, in my opinion, forcing players to either never use Elves or else reload every time one dies, and I think it would make a great Tweak to either or both games to allow Elves and Drow to be Raised rather than just Resurrected.

 

My apologies if this has been "raised" before. I would be surprised if it hadn't, since I have seen people complaining elsewhere that IWD and IWD2 are bad games for Ironman due to the "no raising Elves" restriction, since in Ironman you can't, of course, reload.
