EasyM Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I have a question. After installing SCS and playing with it for a while - I'm getting an error saying: [scs\misc\levelup.baf] PARSE ERROR at line 24 column 16-46 Near Text: > [ApplySpellRES] not found in ACTION.IDS And then I can't install anything else. I can reinstall previous choices, but not make any new ones. It's kinda sad as there are a bunch of things I'd like to change. It's a shame that there is no uninstall function, as that would make things a lot simpler when noobs like me encounter errors like this. That way I could just uninstall the mods, and reinstall the ones I want - without getting errors upon errors. I have no idea what mods I've got installed at the moment, but my EasyTuTu folder lists these: BG1tweaks, BG2tweaks, EasyTuTuHotfixes, SCS, SCSii, TobEx_ini, Widescreen. If anyone knows what I need to do to get these things fixed, it would be great - also please explain how to do so. Is there anything else I need? I can't remember what patches I installed either. Thanks in advance!
DavidW Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (i) There is an uninstall function. Just hit ninstall for each component you want to get rid of. If you want to do it quicker, you can open a console window (type cmd at the command line in the start menu), move to your BG2 directory ("CD [your BG2 directory]"), and type setup-scs --uninstall. (ii) If you want to reinstall everything, just delete your Easytutu folder and run Easytutu again. It doesn't take too long to run. (iii) If you are playing Tutu, you should not be using SCSii, which is only for BG2 (but that's unlikely to be causing you problems). And you definitely should not be using BG1tweaks, which is for original BG, not Tutu. My advice is probably to do (ii), and start again. Install in this order: EasyTutu, EasyTutu Hotfixes, SCS, BG2tweaks, Widescreen.
EasyM Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Thank you very much DavidW - much appriciated. I'm not really great at these things as you've probably noticed. I'll get right on doing option nr. 2 then!
