[ANDROID/GemRB] BG TUTU/ BG II -- Possible to Play 800x482 ?

I'm trying to play BG TUTU (BG running on the BG II engine) on my phone with a native res of 800x480. Widescreen mod only allows 800x600 or above with that engine, which means I can not get the correct ratio (should be 16:9 or 16:10) and everything is stretched incorrectly. Is there a way to fix this?

Beholder asks the bigg for a version of widescreen mod that will run 800x482, and unless I'm reading the thread wrong, the bigg seems to say he has made one and put it on the Git ... Which seems to suggest that there is a way.

 

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!!!!!

bah. I cant wait for the day GemRB supports arbitrary resolutions. there was talk about making it a Google Summer of Code entry.

I assume you are joking(?) but 800x482 is not arbitrary. The bigg has said that 800x480 would be much more difficult than a res of 800x482, for instance--as in the quote below:

 

"For 800x480, it'd need to draw a 640x0 image on top and bottom, but sadly it isn't possible to draw an image with one of its coordinates set to 0."

I'm not joking at all. I really mean being able to give GemRB any width and height greater than or equal to 640x480 and have it automatically adjust to the given size and without needing to modify anything.

Sorry I misunderstood.

 

It is frustrating ... I really want to play BG2 in widescreen with the proper ratio ... 4:3 is just way too small on my phone.
