Aqueous Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Hi All, I'm currently having issues with SCS + SR seeming to "eat" spell/combat protection removal spells, especially Breach. As an example, I'm currently trying to fight the Twisted Rune. I typically try to come down on Vaxall like a ton of bricks from the off, so I read through the spells on its pre-buff list, check any that will block Breach and then tally up the number of Breach casts I'll need to fire off to get to the gooey core. The list of buffs reported are: Stoneskin, Protection from Magic Energy, Protection from Fire, Protection from Acid, Dispelling Screen, Greater Spell Deflection, Protection from Magical Weapons Since I have NOT installed the "More Consistent Breach" component, the only effect here that should block Breach is Dispelling Screen I believe, therefore I expect to have to cast 2 Breaches. First Breach I get a "Spell Ineffective" message from Vaxall? I would be expecting the "Dispelling Screen dissipates." message here. Second Breach I get...absolutely nothing? No message appears at all. Third Breach I get "Dispelling Screen dissipates." What just happened with the first two Breaches? Additionally, I know the issue here isn't Casting Failure from the Anti-Magic Rays because A) I checked for log for the "Character: Cast Breach" message for each of the Breaches and B) I temporarily removed the Spell Failure effect from Vaxall's Anti-Magic Ray just to make sure. The spells are firing they just seem to not do anything at first? As if they're hitting additional protections that are undeclared. Any help would be appreciated and if attaching my Weidu log would help I can do that. Thanks in advance. Quote
Hicuty Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 As far as i remember you need to get rid of Spell Deflection. It also absorbs breach in scs. Quote
