Adding new PC Races?

Another question! I am working on new player character races and I was wondering how I could make them selectable or visible on the player creation screen. I have made entries in many 2das and one .ids file or two... But is there a 2da listing for races that enables them to be visible or are they hard coded? The menu appears to be like the kit/class menus, so I know there are a few open slots in the menu. But anyways, any idea of how to make them visible?
