Does the engine count a natural 1 as an automatic failure like with thac0?

P&P haste would literally age you by years, which for humans was a serious consideration. If you're not matching that, there's really no point in pretending either "balance" nor "PnP".

Isn't there a mod currently active at g3 that replaces double damage with unique effects differing by weapon type?

This is very confusing to keep up with between versions.

For myself (and I have), I would code it as an unobtrusive dialog option, that equates to "skip sod".

I don't understand this question. All the involved variables are integer.

My guess is that the summoning limit is not based on Gender (obviously), but instead got (re)hardcoded for some unstated reason.

When you say "make the BGT-weidu", do you mean "to make the BGT conversion mod itself", because I was playing BGT years before I finally got TotSC from a sale at GOG in 2013.

Paladin's +2 to all saves is hardcoded.

Yeah, and you can change it by applying a permanent penalty to all the saves(in the kits)... it might look odd in the level up screen yeah, but that's nothing new.

 

Would you need to do the -2 at each level-up, or could you just apply it once at 1st level?

I'm seriously considering writing a function that would generate EE style descriptions automatically based on effects found in ITM file.

It's pretty obvious there's going to need to be some kind of mini-mod for this. It may not be in the purview of EET, but if there's an EETweaks, this ought to be Component #1.

It's funny how much I like what you do, even though it's completely the opposite of my own design philosophy. Did you ever play any GURPS?

Just curious. A lot of Demi's stuff draws from PnP, and 1e/2e Haste ages you 1 year. Might've been fun.

Maybe "winning" is a flawed goal for a modder.

I only mention it as the apparent upper range of the value. Being a low level spell, it was probably set to 10 way back in BG1 with the thought that they would always want it to bypass protections, before they worked on BG2/ToB and never made anything else higher than 6.
