  1. 0x0409 should be *.lua 0x0408 is a lua file, but should be *.menu as this was mentioned on a few other places Thanks for the link I will look into it
  2. For different reasons. I was searching for a hobby project, wanted to learn something new and (if the status of the project is usable) try to give something to the community that one or the other will find helpful. The goals for this are purely based on libraries and tools for infinity engine based games. Currently, i didn't found a object oriented cross-platform library only version, that can handle all aspects of all the underlying formats (creating, reading, updating, deleting) including their substructures
  3. Hey, thanks for the answers. I don't want to mod anything. I'm writing an interpreter for the infinity file formats at the moment and couldn't find any reference regarding valid characters that the engines work with. This interpreter should be as strict as possible (regarding validation), but it should allow all cases that the engines can handle For example: the full ascii character set is not usable as it contains non-printable characters. In addition the following characters are not allowed: : ? \ / | * < > and the following names are not allowed/should not be used: CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9
  4. Hi there, while digging through the game files of all editions (except PST:EE, cause i don't own it yet) there are some resource types missing and two seem incorrect. First missing 0x0405 was mentioned http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26057 already, it's a text file containing glsl shader code 0x0408 => text file containing lua code used for menu scripts 0x0409 => text file conatining lua code 0x040a => TrueType font file 0x03ff => movie in wbm format There is an entry for wbm movie files, but it is stated as type 0x0401. There is no type referenced as 0x0401 in BGEE, BG2EE or IWDEE. Maybe a mistake or an old patch version? Is the type 0x044c used somewhere? I couldn't find any place. I could add them to the iesdp later, but maybe there some comments. Thanks and have a nice day
  5. Hi there, does somebody know which characters exactly are usable by the engine(s) as a resource reference? Are there differences in the different engine versions? Are there characters that should be avoided at all? Have a nice day
  6. The wrapping is also due to a very small browser window for testing and sreenshot purposes.
  7. Hey there, it's me again could somebody update the link on top of the "IESDP Updates and Info" forum directly under the title? It still points to http://iesdp.gibberlings3.net/ which wasn't updated since 2013. The updated link should be this: https://gibberlings3.github.io/iesdp/ Thanks for all the work
  8. Hi there personally i think the look of the tables are a little a bit off/outdated. With only minor changes to the css (scss to be precise) the tables get a little bit more clear and unobtrusive. I know design changes are a thing of personal taste, but if you are happy with the changes, i can add them as a pull request. I've included a preview on github: https://github.com/Gibberlings3/iesdp/issues/32 Have a nice day
  9. Fixed the outstanding issues and created a pull request
