Okay, I can reproduce this, and I sort-of-understand where it's coming from.

 

The simplest workaround (until I get round to sorting out compatibility more effectively) is to move the file army4.cre from the override subdirectory of your BG2 directory to a save place, then install SCS II, then move it back again. Crude but effective.

Probably, but I don't maintain a BP install on a regular basis so I can't check myself. Try and see.
