I can't talk to Kivan but all the values are correct... worked just fine in SoA.... please help! How far into ToB have you gotten? Sometimes it took me about 20 mins or so before he talked to me, (after you get telaported to the poked plane). Then you can click him as normal. Link to comment

jelboo Posted July 12, 2012 Share Posted July 12, 2012 I know this is a very old topic, but I pretty much have the same problem: I'm in Throne of Bhaal and Kivan won't talk to me - I get either the 'has nothing to say to you text' or, even weirder, he turns to me and the Kivan theme starts playing, but no dialogue starts. I'm pretty sure I was doing very well in the romance in SoA, too. In addition, Sarevok's acting really weird in the Pocket Plane. I can't get him to say anything else than his first line. So yeah, I'm stuck. I wonder if anyone will still read this… My game's been pretty buggy altogether, so this might just be another one. I enjoyed the Kivan mod, but if he's going to be mute from now on… :/ Link to comment

The lore of the mod implies that Kivan goes to Arvandor after Irenicus lies dead.(read Domi's "Luck be a Lady" in fanfiction section, it has Kivan's death scene). So no ToB-only games for him. The only way to get Kivan in ToB would be either 1) starting an SoA game and never talking to April; 2) starting an SoA game, talking to April, romancing Kivan; 3) starting an SoA game, talking to April, bringing Deheriana vs Demin in Chapter 7, having Aerie or Cernd in party.
