Tougher gnolls, hobgoblins?

I think some of the weaker monsters of BG1, like gnolls and hobgoblins, could do with a slight toughening-up. As it is, these are never a challenge, not even at lvl 1. Not asking for any major changes, just to maybe make them able to hit anything other than an unarmored lvl 1 mage, and maybe have more than like 6 hitpoints?

 

What do you think? Is this within the scope of SCS?

 

edit: also ogrillions and maybe ogres could use some help.
