Crashing in BG1

Whenever I try and enter the Jovial Juggler inn in Beregost with 2.31 at 1920*1200 it crashes. Uninstalling the mod I can then get entry.

Are you sure you didn't first go into the inn? -then installed the mod and then revisited the inn so it crashes because your savegame has different info from the file... as you need to start a new game if you wish to avoid CtD's.

Yes, I installed the game fresh patched it up, installed the widescreen mod, then I started a new game. Have been playing at 1920*1200 the whole time.

I confirm the problem with the same setup.

So...since there doesn't seem to be a solution i'd like to know if i can temporarily uninstall the mod, enter the Inn, save(!) and reinstall the mod again without messing up my savegames.
