StrongArmand
I'm creating a weapon which should evolve with level. I've started to create this item with effect 54 but there are several things that I don't understand in "dice/level limit" box. What does its works exactly ? For example if I write "2d6" in the box. How could it change ? Link to comment
Avenger
An effect has either random damage dice, or level limits. This is based on the effect opcode. You cannot select between the two, or use both. The effect you mentioned (though it is better to use # for decimal and $ for hexadecimal effect numbers) has no random damage dice. You also didn't mention which editor allows you to type 2d6 in a box. DLTCEP surely won't, because it has 2 boxes. Level limits work this way: there is a minimum and maximum target creature level. In DLTCEP, the maximum is written first. So 2d6 has no meaning there. If you want a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6, you write 6 (d) 2 See the cloud kill spell for hint. Link to comment
StrongArmand
If you want a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6, you write 6 (d) 2 Oh ok great ! I will be able to do what I want. But how I could know if the effect which interest me has a random damage dice or a level limit ? Are there an easy way to be sure about that ? Link to comment
Avenger
In bg2 i think it is only the damage effect. Link to comment
