DavidW
Version 17 of SCSII is theoretically Linux-compatible. Here, "theoretically" means "TheBigg coded it to be". Since I don't have Linux locally (and haven't used it for more than ten years), I can't test myself, so I haven't made any song and dance about the compatibility change. If someone running Linux and/or Wine could confirm that it installs and runs, I'd be grateful. The link is www.gibberlings3.net/downloads/lin-scsII-v17.rar. Link to comment
Wisp
SSL seems to run fine, but Smarter Mages and Priests fail to install. Smarter mages fail with: Copying and patching 1 file ...ERROR: error loading [...\scsii-inline\swapfile] Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. ERROR: [25SPELL.CRE] -> [override/25SPELL.CRE] Patching Failed (COPY) (Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", ".../scsii-inline/swapfile")) Smarter Priests fail with: ERROR: error loading [...\scsii-inline\swapfile]Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. ERROR: [ACOLYTE1.cre] -> [override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", ".../scsii-inline/swapfile")) Stopping installation because of error. ERROR: [priestcre.2da] -> [override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", ".../scsii-inline/swapfile")) Complete debug file. I'll keep tinkering with it on my end, but I figure you have a better idea of where to start looking. Link to comment
the bigg
Does it work if you substitute '...\scsii-inline\swapfile' with '.../scsii-inline/swapfile' in scsii/mage/mage.tph and scsii/priest/priest.tph? If so, I'll fix WeiDU accordingly. Link to comment
the bigg
Can you compile the latest git and see if it works if you re-add the backslashes? If you can't compile it, I'll upload it. Link to comment
Wisp
Upload plz. Compiling from source is still a bit too much fun for me. Actually, it might be a good time to test those waters. But you'll probably save time by uploading a linux build anyway. Link to comment
the bigg
Also, I should point out that this problem likely affects Mac users as well. Link to comment
