BG2 Fixpack installed fine...but unable to install any other mods

Hello,

I've encounter this problem after installing BG2Fixpack v9.

I have tried;

1.) Unfinished Business mod

2.) Full Plate & Packing Steel

3.) Divine Remix

etc

FYI, i have installed BG2-SoA, BG2-ToB, and 26498 official patch, and BG2Fixpack v9.

I extracted the above mods to D:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA and tried to install the mods. However, the installation window (The black window installation, not the extraction) appear and disappear without doing anything.

 

I've tried testing and installed the above mods without BG2Fixpack, and they installed fine...

 

What am i doing wrong?

Sorry for double post, i forgot to log in

 

Other mods that i've tried to install,

1.) Crossmod Banter Pack - didn't work

2.) BG2 Tweak Pack - works

3.) NPC Kitpack - didn't work

4.) Kivan & Deheriana - didn't work

I guess it could possibly be a problem with WeiDU's autoupdate.

To try a manual update you can download a recent version of WeiDU (e.g., from here) and extract weidu.exe to your game directory.

 

Then open a command prompt and use these commands:

cd /d path\to\your\game\directory

weidu --update-all

Edit: if weidu for some reason fails to update you can use this command:

for %f in (setup-*.exe) do copy /y weidu.exe %f

or manually replace all setup-xyz.exe files with a renamed copy of weidu.exe.

 

Then try to install the mods again.

another thing you could try is to reinstall the game in a non-default location.

instead of

D:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA

try

D:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA

Win Vista and Win 7 cause all kinds of problems for mods when the game is installed in the program files directory
