So I guess they mean they are updating the Infinity Engine and getting to work again?

Either they just intend to re-release old games, or they intend to make a new one.

Its not owned by any company after searching the register. It's probably a fan who bought it at a great expense at the auction. Bioware/EA/Interplay wouldn't hide their register behind a proxy.

According to this article, which got a hold of Trent Oster, former BioWare designer, now working for the independent developer Beamdog, the page is indeed related to a developer. It's much more like a small independent developer than a large company to have a website not registered to them, I would guess. Now I must install BG once more to look at those tapestries and stuff....
