Fixpack on an early save?

Heya, I installed Fixpack and used an early save(which I didnot have Fixpack installed). I'm wondering if it works fine on that saved game? thx

Short answer: maybe, possible, in some ways yes.

 

Long answer: don't even consider it. Save yourself a world of headache(s) and start a new game! :-)

I started a few days ago and then now realize I havenot installed fixpack. since I had other mods on, I thought it would be better reinstall the whole game and this time installed fixpack first, but still I wanna continue the game where I stopped, so I'm hoping to play without bug with that earlier save.

Others can answer much more definite than I, but if I recall correctly it's a major mistake to try and continue a saved game.

 

Have you tried loading your saved game? It's possible the text will be all garbled bc. of string changes.

Not really, I'm playing my former saved game, everything is going on just fine. Actually the Fixpack'ed items are taking effect as well.

But I do hope someone more familiar with Fixpack would come and tell me whether it is totally safe to play on, since I donot wanna give up the game somewhere later due to potential bugs.

I'm pretty sure there will be no (game breaking) bugs. Fixpack will apply to everything except for items and NPC:s you have already collected/met.
