Opcode #236 Spell Effect: Image Projection

Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but is there any way to edit the creature that opcode #236 Spell Effect: Image Projection creates? I’m trying to create a spell that duplicates the ‘image’ of the target enemy. I also want to change the colour and equip the 'image' with a unique weapon.

I'm not sure if it's possible to do it reliably, since the targetting is tricky. The creature does have a marker effect one could potentially check for (is there an opcode for that?), but what if there is more than one image?
