I'm using the 4 DVD version BG1 and 2, and im playing BG2 now and Jaheiras armor and sling appear like shes not allowed to use them. When I remove them I cant put them back on. I initially installed the tweakpack and unfinished business. From the tweakpack I installed the alignment change and other features. I also "losened" the druid item restrictions. I dont know if this is related, but the romance is also stuck and can not be advanced with the cheat codes. I made a copy of my saves and uninstalled/reinstalled to a different directory (in order to fix an issue with the CLUA console not opening up. The new directory fixed it) The issue persists. And heres the weird part: to rule out the possibility that the saves were corrupt, I started a new game on my new install and freed Jaheira from jail, I was able to equip her with chain mail. Logged out, did some other troubelshooting with the other saves, when I went back to that new game save, the problem game back. Running windows 10. Anyone have any ideas? Jarno Mikkola Posted October 20, 2020 Share Posted October 20, 2020 You started the savegame before you uninstalled the last mod (Divine Remix), restart the campaign and that will fix your issues. The Windows 10 will only allow specific sub-directories in the C drive to be fully modable, it's in the user profile files. Install the game anywhere else and no mod can edit the games actual files, as they are written to an offsite folder, in one of the user profile folders, but the game can't read them from there, so it won't know to use them, if you didn't install the game there already. It seemed to be modable since Jaheiras alignment changed just fine. So im going to have to start over huh? Any idea why Jaheiras profile is acting as if she was full druid? The .cre likely gets changed during the Divine Remix install, and that alteration remains in the savegame after you have uninstalled the mod component, and thus the alteration could do anything it wants, mess up her class and kit, which will alter the item usage etc. Which is why she gets those back only after the uninstall is done and you start the campaign fresh again. Druids have looser bounds on their neutrality requirements--rather than being restricted to true neutral, druids are now allowed to have any alignment that contains neutrality: neutral good, neutral evil, lawful neutral, and chaotic neutral are now allowed in addition to true neutral. On the flipside, the druid's ethos is now enforced on their armor selection for multi- and dual-classes. Before fighter-druids were allowed armor (but not weapons) available to fighters; now both armor and weapons are restricted in the same way. For the record, changes to ITM usability are not stored in the save file, so uninstalling the component should have been enough to revert the change without you needing to start a new game. If you're still experiencing this issue, something must have failed during the uninstallation process and this component is actually still installed. So one potential solution would be to uninstall this component from Tweaks Anthology, and then install it again. While the item usability does not, but that is not the same as what this particular character can use, as that's a mix of the two. Item usability and character alterations class & kit combination. I currently have it installed under C/Games. Is there a better place to install it? The reason why I ask is I had a problem where the saved games wouldn’t appear from my normal BG installation and I found them elsewhere after looking online. The least finiky directory is in the users sub-directories, aka here: C:\Users\<windows user name>\Games\ .. well the Games directory isn't needed, but I place all the C drives games there, so I use a translation of that as the main directory. The reason is clear, it's where you have every right submitted to you... the others can and are likely protected by Windows 10. 3 hours ago, Mike1072 said: That directory should be fine. Cause all the info I got is that it's a Windows 10... no info on even the edition, let alone the update it's at, or user edited settings nor backdoor hacks etc one can subject the Operation System under.
