jastey
@Zaramorte If you download the latest version here, and then look into the folder bg1re/tra/english you see all the needed text files, and in bg1re/tra/espanol is an old Spanish translation of the Bjornin component you could/would take as a basis. Most important thing is that the structure of the text files should not be changed, i.e. every line starts with a number (e.g. @0) and the text is inside tildas without an empty space between them and the text, like this: Quote @0 = ~This is an example.~ The file format of all tra files should be ANSI (Inferred character set CP1252). Looking forward to receiving a translation! Quote Link to comment
Zaramorte
Thx for the tips. I'm using notepad++ to modify a copy of the english files, so there shouldn't be problems, since it keep the original format. I'm already comparing it with those in other languages, from time to time, when I have doubts or perplexities, and to be sure there are not missing lines. Some lines I had to reinterpret, of course, that especially some puns and expressions don't work well if translated literally in my language It remains a mystery to me that none of my lazy countrymen have done this yet... If, after this, I'm still in the "rain man" mood, I'll do the BGII version too. Quote Link to comment

But if you watch out for this it's simple to convert it back to ANSI using the feature in Notepad++. Quote Link to comment
