Problem with carrion crawler AI

Carrion crawler AI seems to be broken in my BGEE 2.6 install of SCS 35.4 with the "slightly smarter" option enabled. They don't move at all or fight back when attacked. I'm not sure if SCS is to blame or any of the other mods I'm using. I did replace the default.bs script with the one from the original BG2.

This wouldn't matter; .bs scrips are never assigned to monsters outside the party, and can't be.

This looks like another bug similar to the one that erased "talk to a PC" scripts from NPCs in earlier versions of v35; the new Carrion Crawler script is likely being removed after it has been assigned. With no replacement. And since that's their combat script, they just stand there doing nothing.

It's a little weirder than that.

There is a bug in my code: specifically in stratagems/ai/crawler.tpa. This line

   LAF ssl_to_bcs STR_VAR script="ccrawler=>%tutu_scriptc%crawler%" location=~ssl~ END

ought to be replaced by this one

   LAF ssl_to_bcs STR_VAR script="ccrawler=>%tutu_scriptc%crawler" location=~ssl~ END

i.e. remove the last %. And if that is fixed the component works fine. 

BUT the result of the bug is just that the original Carrion Crawler combat script is preserved, not that it's blanked. I can confirm that it's not working in SCS (fairly clean install, just initialize/smarter general AI/better calls for help/slightly less dumb carrion crawlers). But I don't see why not - it's a very simple script, entirely unmodified by SCS. And if I uninstall SCS entirely, it also works fine. I don't think it's being blocked by the SCS help script either, because then the SCS-added script wouldn't fire.
