[BGEE/SoD][Beta 10] Some issues

With only ToF install:

  • Rake of Sune shouldn’t have backstab ability because its thief kit is a Swashbuckler [Fixed in Beta 11]
  • Chanthalas Ulbright in Lady’s Hall won’t talk to you unless you’re a priest of Tymora [Fixed in Beta 11]
  • In Mage’s class description it says mage can specialize in single-weapon style and two-handed weapon style as well as master in two-weapon style. The next line says mage may not place any slots in any fighting style. [Fixed in Beta 11]
  • Almost all classes can put three pips in two-weapon fighting style. According to the ToF doc “Characters who could already become Specialized improve their maximum achievable level by one slot.“ I take this means characters who can already specialize in an unmodded game can now master the same proficiency in ToF. Therefor mage, sorcerer, monk, cleric, druid, shaman, bard (except blade), thief (except swashbuckler) should only allow to specialize in two-weapon fighting style. [Intentional. Description fixed in Beta 11]
  • With the “revised ability score modifiers” installed, perhaps item strength requirements and carrying weight capacity should be revised. This cause some issues like Corwin can’t equip her longbow and Jaheira can’t use a medium shield. Speaking of Jaheira, she is a fighter and used to do a lot of heavy lifting, now her strength is reduced to 11 - only one point better than Imoen and can only carry the same tiny weight as Imoen - somewhat reduced her usability. [Jaheira's STR adjusted to 13 in Beta 11]

Issues with EEUITweaks “lefreut’s improved record screen“:

  • Weird characters after classname finally disappeared (hurray!😃)
  • Multi-class names display true class name instead of kitted names. For example Rake of Sune should display "Swashbucker" and "Hearwarder of Sune" but they are Thief and Cleric on the record page.
  • Exceptional strength appears on the record page
  • Planetouched subraces displays "Human" instead of its subrace name

Tested it with "Endless BG1" installed, not sure if this also happens in a ToF-only game:

  • When transiting from BG1 to SoD, all the former companions you have taken in BG1 and recruit again in SoD (such as Minsc, Dynaheir, and Safana) have their HP, THAC0, and saving throws reset to level 0. However their level and exp do not. Looks like a conflict with NPC customization.

I assume this is a bug, that's a very steep reduction. But maybe I'm wrong, if that's the case, perhaps it needs to take into account STR requirements, or perhaps not affect joinable NPCs...?

These are all fixed locally and should be in beta 11.

That's working as intended, but the documentation could be clearer: I've tweaked it.

This is working as intended but I agree it needs some tweaking. Currently it's entirely based on matching the to-hit/damage numbers - Jaheira has strength 15 in the unmodded game, which grants no bonus to hit or damage, so she gets adjusted to the highest score in the new system that does that. I didn't think carefully enough about carrying capacity and item strength requirements - will consider.

At the moment I'm not supporting the improved record screen, only the baseline LEUI mod.

One of the coolest things about the "Revised Ability Scores" component is that companions with bad attributes (i.e., Rasaad) were no longer so far behind the others. This changed, however, with the latest updates. Perhaps the automatic attribute adjustment could be made optional in future updates?

The above issue is still occurs in the newest ToF version. This time I have only ToF (beta 11) and SCS (35.16) installed. Your companions all acting normal while in Korlasz's dungeon. But as soon as you recruit them again in SoD, all of their stats except LV and exp reset to level 0.

Another thing I'm not sure if it is intentional or a bug. Even with the "Eliminate class/race restrictions and most class/ability score restrictions" component installed, Planetouched sub races characters are unable to dual-class. I thought ToF allows all races to multi-class or dual-class.

Lastly, I thank you for adding two more strength points to Jaheira. Just a reminder here that Corwin is still 3 strength points short from using her composite longbow. But this is a minor issue since I can either add strength points to Corwin or reduce the requirement of her bow. I'll await patiently for future revisions.
