Guest whathuh Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Okay, regular spears have a range of 2 and ALL the magical spears have a range of 1. My experience with spears is that they are pretty long, and a whole lot easier to use in range than two handed swords are, so they should have a range of 2. Spears also seem to be underpowered when compared to two handed swords since they have less damage and less range. Of course, this would also upgrade an already overpowered ToB weapon, but I think this is definately an inconsistency that should be fixed.

Spear melee ranges are wildly inconsistent--dwsper01, hgsalf, kuosper, plysala, rodspear, sahspear, salacold, salasper, salgrfir, salgrice, and sper01 have a range of 2, and sper02, sper03, sper05-sper12, spermel, tasloiil, and waspear all have range 1. sper04 has a range of 5 and seems to be a throwing spear, though it appears to be unused in game. To be honest, this is really Fixpack material and not for Tweaks.
