Here are two teasers, that demonstrate the 2 approaches to playing IWD2 NPC.

 

Screenshot #1 is the NPC-only Party, the Nord's Company; the characters are introducing themselves to each other and the player in the first banter.

 

Screenshot #2 is a party lead by a Protagonist. Salomeya, a bard, initiates a conversation with the Protagonist.

This is an example of a "scenery" dialogue - basically a short interjection by one or few characters reacting to a game situation.

The text here does not really matter. What matters is *how* that dialogue is initiated. It is called by the player, by pressing a hot-key, closely resembling Compton-style flirt-packs in its intent and results. Great thanks to the Bigg for this brilliant and simple approach and to Avenger for helping to adapt the code to IWD2 peculiarities.

I wanted to show this screenshot not because its particular literary value, but because it demonstrates a rare banter that I think have all 5 original characters either mentioned or speaking.
