Reasonable--but it has been (game time) days since he was disguised.

Sometimes, when the game has a lot of actions going on, the Global values for comments are set, but dialogue does not trigger till the *next* interjection forces it out. And when there are a lot of them, it tends to happen a bit more often. Try click-talking him till you see the good old PID again to clear the cache.
