How do you add a custom weapon to baldur's gate ?

I was wondering how you add A custom weapon to Baldur's gate.i found one but its only an iap file.Any help would be very much appreciated.Also if one is in a zip file do I just unzip it to Baldu'rs Gate?.Thankyou for your time.

I *think* IAP files just need to be placed in Override, although I might be wrong.

 

With regards to .ZIPs, it depends what's inside it. If it is a WeiDU mod install as per other WeiDU mods (double-click the installer), if not then put it in Override (although non-WeiDU mods are not recommended).

iap files should be unpacked by iap unpacker or dltcep.

They could be anywhere.

 

iap stuff cannot be uninstalled, unlike weidu.
