On a personal note, I'd like to take a moment to thank @Thacobell for reviving this thread after two-and-a-half months.
In all fairness, I wasn't expecting a thread on page 1 of its section to be that old. I must be used to more active forums. I'll be more careful next time.

Its been awhile, I wonder what's going on at G3.

Got a simple question here. Having issues getting my linux copy to download properly, so if I have to resort to wine and a windows version, do I still need to use linux weidu? Or should I use windows in the wine environment?

Huh, is the layout that bad?

Yes. Yes it is. Ouch. -
I wonder if the moderation team got bored with nobody to ban.

And the writing in the kids cartoon has about a 50/50 chance at least of being more complex in its writing
This, all the this.

Eh, I don't think the young'uns not caring about realism is part of it. You grow up with what you grow up with. This generation knows cgi, its normal for them.
Tangent: Food is food. -
I think my "favorite" thing about the movie industry right now, is that the difference between a "cartoon for kids" and a "serious live action film" is apparently a single real actor in a movie that is otherwise all cgi.

Awesome, thanks.

What's the recommended place for this in an install? With item/spell mods before kits? Or maybe after kits with tweak mods?
-
"Allow moderate spellbook bloat, give special high-level spells to more kits, and lean harder on the "focus access" mechanic to make kits like the Hivekeeper more special (imagine casting Insect Plague at 7th level! )"
I personally really like this option. Combine this with keeping the highest level versions of spells kit specific (like creeping doom for hivemaster), and the usual kit special abilities/equipment quirks, and kits should remain unique. -

I liked SoD. I think the timing of the release might have been unfortunate. Everything now is interpreted through some type of political lens.
What isn't these days? its politics or nostalgia all the way down.

Insect Plague is such a staple druid spell, it's really weird to take it away nearly every druid. I could see a case for Creeping Doom, being the highest level/power insect spell.
-
The games still have their own internal lore though.

"Well, I'm a guest and as such I cannot edit my post - so the statement about SOD being owned was already there."
My memory it was, then. Curse you memory! -
I'd toss in a vote for bigger, more rounded spheres. Also, this doesn't mean that non-hivekeeper druids miss out on the insect swarm/plague/creeping doom spells, does it?
-
I swear the "provided you already own SoD" wasn't there when op posted. But, my memory has played tricks on me before.

In that case I'm sorry that I said that I hope it's a glitch in your game! Hope you can enjoy venturing forth.
Haha, no worries. I'm sure the next game will be that glitch-free one

Even ignoring the legal issues with making SoD content available to players without buying SoD, that seems to break the whole modders code with the whole, "taking somebody else's work for your own project without permission".
Also, SoD's good ya'll. -
I must have the "blessed" playthrough. Considering what a weird bug I had with something else.

It wasn't exactly the save/mod itself, as when investigating Thacobell sent me his savegame and the crash did not happen on my game, so I think it was something very random and unique, not something that usually happens. I checked the script and everything "around" that event and I wasn't able to reproduce it.
Its definitely very strange. I used your mod on 2.5 and never had this issue. It might be worth noting that Bubb was able to re-create the crash when I sent him my override file as well.

It’s not clear it’s a bug with Skie. It may be a bug with some other mechanism that just interacted with Skie in thac0Bell’s game. In my game Skie appeared to thank me 5 or 10 in-game days ago, and then left. So it seems unlikely it is related to her in my game, unless she has some further scripted interaction I’m not aware of.
I’ll play back to that point and keep saving and reloading more often, to try to pay attention to when the issue starts. When I can anyway - got to take some time off the game to get other stuff done.
She appeared and thanked me in my game as well. She left and sometime later, she just kept appearing on maps to crash my game.

there is a rule IRL that the bigger and stronger guy wins. always.
during wars over the ages the mobility and agility was more important than raw strenghth like the mongolian mounted archers can outmanouver and shot down with arrows even much stronger plate armored kights which is basically well known cheesy hit and run tactics (for real!!).
With nations, sure. But I think op wants to compare individual fighters.

Iirc, her jump effect is what she does to move to a different area, instead of walking out.
The Fallouts are still fresher and richer

Well, it IS a very good chase movie. A movie doesn't have to be arthouse to be an exemplar of a genre, and every genre deserves recognition for excellence.
