  1. @deratiseur the language and english directions weren't in the initial release--they were added when I added journal entries, because that was the only way I could figure out how to add journal entries. How can I make it easier for you to translate?
  2. That's a fun mod idea! For general modding, I have this tutorial series for absolute beginners. It's based around making a quest, but the general principles still apply. To see how NPC companions work, I'd recommend poking around Branwen for BG2's files. They're extensively commented with beginner modders in mind.
  3. @RoyalProtector No problem! Hope you find the tutorials useful!
  4. @megrimlock -- ack! Messed up the hyperlink, but it's fixed now. Punk Stevo is an Oblivion modder who created the mod "The Righteous Hitman", which was an assassinations/bounty hunting mod, but for good guys.
  5. Mod: Errant Justice for BG2 Description: Too often, criminals get away with their misdeeds due to bureaucratic corruption or the red tape keeping the Order of the Radiant Heart from acting. A certain Lathanderite priest has decided to take matters into her own hands, but she needs your help. This is a tale of damnation... or of redemption. Majorly Highlighted Companions: Keldorn, Rasaad, Jaheira, Nalia Minorly Highlighted Companions: Cernd, Yoshimo, Imoen Highlighted Classes: Cleric, Monk, Paladin (any class/alignment is welcome though) Highlighted Skills: Charisma Minorly Highlighted Skills: Dexterity What to Expect: Expect 1-2 hours of gameplay! Around 10 quests! Many roleplaying opportunities! Evil Charnames have an opportunity to shift to a Neutral alignment, depending on the choices you make (this is entirely optional and the dialogue option will tell you that this choice leads to an alignment shift. No suprises--don't want to ruin anyone's build!) Three different possible endings, with many different ways to get there! Majorly Highlighted companions can help persuade NPCs for you if you don't have the charisma/class/reputation/etc yourself and have at least 2 interjections. Minorly Highlighted can't help complete quests, but have interjections. Even if you don't the charisma/class/reputation/etc, you can still complete the quests in question, it'll just take a little longer. Content Warning for NPC suicide attempt. Whether or not the NPC succeeds is entirely on you. The questline isn't all that dark--don't expect something gritty. Thanks to... Moggadeet, for being my partner in crime and brainstorming with me #1 Unironic Khalid Fanboy in the BG discord for helping with Eloran's name BadAssSamus in the BG discord for letting me use Elisandran's name Punk Stevo and Kulyok, whose mods inspired this one. DOWLOAD FROM GITHUB (I have plans for a similar mod for BG1. on an unrelated note, I know have BG mods that start with D, E, F, and G. Gonna try for the whole alphabet here)
  6. Version 1.3 is out! I've fixed a door error, an issue with bard-specific dialogue not showing up, and added journal entries!
  7. Thanks everyone! I hope you enjoy my mods--I sure enjoyed making them! Definitely let me know what you think whenever you get around to them
  8. "The story behind the painting I drew is already told No more tearstains on the pages of my diary Tired but unable to give up since I'm Responsible for the lives I saved" Mod Name: Dead Gardens Premise: An archdruid died but rose again as an undead creature. He is unable to move on due to his greatest regret in life—he saved three children from being sacrificed to Malar. He regrets (1) his interference, and (2) the fact that two of the three children grew up to be terrible people. Help the undead archdruid find peace.... one way or another. Start the quest by looking for Arianelle, near the Trademeet fountain, after defeating Faldorn. Expect maybe an hour of gameplay. Cernd, Jaheira, and high charisma will be helpful here, though you can complete the quest without any of those three. As always, the walkthrough is in the readme. Thanks to: Moggadeet, for being my partner in crime; Nightwish, for their song "Dead Gardens", which loosely inspired this mod; and Jastey, for helping with the Dead() checks and for showing me how to do journals Incompatibilities: Will likely have issues with anything that modifies AR2602 (Cave in Forest to Suldanessalar). To the best of my knowledge though, no mod modifies this area. DOWNLOAD FROM GITHUB CHANGELOG 1.0 Initial Release
  9. Version 1.1 is released! The quest now has journal entries!
  10. Do you wish you could turn into a squirrel? A squirrel that could still cast spells? Do you want to be a fireball-slinging squirel Bhaalspawn? Do I have the quest reward mod for you! Mod Name: Gone Nuts Premise: A spellcaster of some interest disappeared in Trademeet! His friends think he was taken by the Cowled Wizards, but the Wizards say that they did no such thing. Can Charname get to the bottom of this mystery? To start the quest, go to the Council of Six building in the Government District. Talk to Tannia. Unlike A Fowl Wish, this mod does feature some companion interjections. Bring along Jan, Jaheira, and/or Cernd for the full experience (and you'll want a druid or mage in your party to complete the quest, regardless). Expect maybe 30 minutes of gameplay. Any level/party is fine so long as you have a Jaheira, Cernd, or Jan (or are a druid or mage yourself). You'll need to get into Trademeet, so do mind the animal trouble at the gates. Made for BG2EE, only available in English, and has no known incompatibilities. Shout out to suy and Jarno Mikkola over on the G3 discord server for their help! If you're interested in learning how to mod, I made a Modalong blog series featuring this mod! See how I made it, step-by-step. Download Gone Nuts v1.1 from GitHub here.
  11. Adrian is pretty grounded/invested in what's going on, in my opinion.
  12. @Princess Pestilent Sorry about that! I think I found the problem. Try this TP2 file. EDIT: confirmed via discord that this one worked FowlWish.tp2
  13. Premise: A mage’s apprentice accidentally give a Candle of Limited Wish to a noble to use at his pet chicken’s birthday party! It’s up to Charname to get the candle back before the candle is used. Who knows what the bird would Wish for, and what havoc the magic would cause? Crash a chicken's birthday party! Stop the Wish of a feathered biped! Get a candle of Limited Wish--use it yourself, or don't! To start the quest, speak to the "Panicking Mage Apprentice" in the Copper Coronent. He is near the stairs leading up to the bedrooms. There are several different ways to crash the party, and two possible endings. See the Walkthrough section in the Readme for more details. Expect about 30-60 minutes of gameplay, and one new area. Any level/group is fine so long as you can survive Pai'Na. Made for BG2EE. I'm not sure if it'd work for other versions (like EET). English-only. This quest contains spiders. Currently has a soft incompatibility with Lava's I Shall Never Forget, because our doors are in the exact same space (I tried placing my door someplace else, but, for whatever reason, my characters would not go through it, even though all I changed were integers.) (Fixed in version 1.2!) If you cannot enter my interior for any reason, open the console and type: C:MoveToArea('GGP001') Anyway, hope you enjoy! This little quest mod for BG2 is my first BG mod ever--and I'm both excited and nervous to share with you! Would love to hear what you think Download it from GitHub See the readme or Nexus documentation section for the changelog v1.3 released on 2/27! Fixed a door issue and bard dialogue, and added journal entries!
  14. Okay, I solved it (sort of) I went into BG1 and copied the spider from Landrin's house in Beregost. I moved the files over to BG2 and it works!
  15. Alright, so you know how there's a spider in Beregost in BG1 that drops its corpse when you kill it? (MISC60). I want to do that in BG2. I've made my spider (GGPTLS.cre) [stands for "Glittergear's Party, Tasty Looking Spider"]. I used my TP2 file as a script to add MISC60 to GGPTLS, like so: //adds dead spider body to Tasty Looking Spider COPY_EXISTING ~GGPTLS.cre~ ~override/GGPTLS.cre~ ADD_CRE_ITEM ~MISC60.itm~ #0 #0 #0 ~IDENTIFIED~ ~inv~ But whenever I kill the spider, nothing drops. I also made sure to create the spider via TP2 script before trying to add MISC60. anyone have any idea? I need the Tasty Looking Spider to drop a corpse when it dies.
  16. This worked!! Thank you so much. I was using the command for the old games, not the EE. Whoops. Got a few things to work out with the interior, but I want to try to figure things out myself before coming back here Oh, I didn't know that it was populated by the lua files. That's pretty neat.
  17. Hi all! Making my very first mod here Hope this is the correct place to pose this question. Anyway, I've successfully made an interior. I think anyway, since I can pull up the interior in NearInfinity and it looks good to me. It's got some actors in it too, and I can see the files in my override folder. But when I go to teleport to the area in-game, it doesn't show up as an option and the CLUAConsole says that it's a nil value. What gives with that? Do I need to make an installer or something with a setup-exe like completed mods have, or...? Just a little confused here. I'm coming from Morrowind modding, which is very very different than BG modding
  18. I love Adrian. Favorite NPC mod of all time. Can't romance anyone else anymore because I love his romance so much. Be sure to bring Jaheira if you use him though, they have some great banters.
  19. I haven't played that much yet, but I love him! Looking forward to being able to play his BG2 content when it's finished!
