Protagonist - Champion of the Silver Flame (mod) very nice and easy to play kit, very good passives; large sword **, heavy armor max, sword on board max, conditioning max if possible, Balduran set (mod)

Minscy (would recommend Warhulk + Fume Great Sword, Stone Great Sword - that tranquild walk of peace is the best cheese ever!

Aerie (Sword Dancer of Selune, use EENPC enhanced by Subtledoctor, one of the best BG mods ever in my opinion)

Jan Jansen (Jan Extended Quest Mod) or Nalia (Darnise romance is good if you can stand very LOUD music theme)

Keldorn or Ajantis (mod) if you want romance (must play as woman in both cases) for all that is holy take Ajantis!!

bullshit! you will lose a lot of xp and screw your gameplay if you like to play thief class. rather install "idetify all items" you will not only lose no xp, save time and also free a spell slot. traps can have MUCH impact on gameplay - improved guarded compund for example.

this game is giving you so much expa (which is a well known fact) and so much more if you are using mods that for example when I was playing normally with 6 party (two or three multiclassed) from the start, when I was about to start Sod, my protagonist was level 13 (reminder you start BG2 at level 6/7, literally double the level) and I was not even started werewolf island!!

there is actually personal contact between modders and players, which is almost completely non existent in so called professional gaming buisness especially aaa games.

there is no rewards. this is something like improved version of original quest, it was cleary made with original game in mind so no rewards like Hackmaster +17 or Ring of the Pretty Princess +8. well, reward is probebly Brage himself joining your party. ;]

unpack the archive into game folder like this "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 2". that is all you have to do. If you have only one disk/partition it is recommended to create folder like "Games" or wahtever and then installing steam in that folder like this "C:\Games\Steam\..." not in "C:\Program Files".

it is much better to have offhand weapon that can hit enemy than that can not hit but give some bonus like extra attack - offhand weapon is completely useless in that particular case and bonuses you can have from other sources usually.

there is also a mod that can upgrade belm to +4.

darnise romance is good if somewhat boring still good, but that fecking music is much TOO LOUD makes the mod unplayable for me.

I prefer Auren Aseph (good night chuck, hahhaha), she will romance Nalia for me and that romance is exciting, funny and unpretentious, and no annoyig music hurting ears and brain.

I've started a BG1:EE game, for the first time with SCS on hardcore and almost everything installed. I've only played about one third of a BG1:EE game with SCS on lower difficulty in the past. I have a feeling this playthrough will be full of crazy difficulty spikes like that... I mean, that  creature made the encounter idk, 5 times more difficult, and it came out of the blue. It took me less time to kill all the others, and then was kiting the Aerial Servant around (after it had killed Imoen) until it was killed, too. And I got no xp for killing it, no loot, nothing, just a permanent death! You might say I should play at lower difficulty, but that difficulty had been fine so far, it just didn't need crazy stuff like that. And now that I know what's going on in this fight, next time I play it of course it's gonna be a lot easier.

But my point is: I don't think such a creature had any reason to be there. (Of course, feel free to convince me otherwise.)

And my questions: Do such things happen a lot with this mod? Have there been any changes in v35 on that aspect?

Loader or rather Eex is compatible with all mods not only mods that require it to work. 

in your case if you do not start the game via eex's loader all mods will work exept spell menu extened. if you start the game via loader all your mods will work. 

order? install merger first obviously.

Now you only need to add golems immune to magic, 95% res to phisical damage, hitting AC 20 for 50 damage non crit and dispelling all illusion spells on hit. And don't forget to add permanently improved hasted skeletons scoring criticals almost all the time on the roll of 15 if not lower. 

you can also add undead dragon immune to normal weapons, spamming PFMW 15 times and cheesing you with wail of the banshee. final boss can easily be immune to basically eveything, has 380 HP, regenerate like crazy, effective AC 40 or something, spamming absolute immunity 37 times and farting Abu Dalzim ALL the time, not to mention CHEATING like a motherfucker with project force and "universal purge magic" out of his ass.
