Is K4thos, or anyone who knows something, out there? I keep checking the board almost daily, waiting for some indication that IWD-in-EET is still a thing and isn't in any kind of trouble or something. I'm fine with waiting for however long it needs. I just want to know that it's still alive =(

Huh. I always got the impression from some of jastey's posts that there was just some beef, or a personality conflict between just them and Roxanne. I didn't know that there was a wider issue with BWS and EET-Setup being handled so differently. This is very confusing for someone like me. I've been waiting for IWD-in-EET to launch and then progress to a stable release before attempting another mega-install/playthrough. I wonder what the landscape will be like by that time. I hope there will still be a stable way for us dummies to handle our mega-mod installations =(

It might actually be both the BG1 NPC Project and the BG1 Unfinished Business mods. But I'll just leave it to the professionals to sort out.

I was reading about the features and fixes in the 2.5 update for BGEE (http://blog.beamdog.com/2018/08/updates-to-baldurs-gate-enhanced.html) and a couple of things stood out to me.
- Branwen should interject when confronting Tranzig in Beregost.
- Kivan should interject when you encounter Tazok at the bandit camp.
- Tazok should have a appropriate response if Kivan is in your party.
and a few others. Doesn't BG1 NPC Project have several components that add its own content to these previously missing features? I wonder which dialogues are more interesting. Anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone was keeping these changes in mind for the BWS (or whatever is being used currently for megamod installations) when everything gets updated and released everywhere soon.
Apparently IWDEE has a few upcoming changes as well as of 8-17-18 (http://blog.beamdog.com/2018/08/icewind-dale-enhanced-edition-new.html). I'm sure people are already on top of all this, but I just wanted to check. I'm so excited that the long-awaited dream of EET + IWD-in-EET is getting closer to being realized! Cheers. -
Exactly how much of IWD2 will be included in IWD-in-EET? Specifically story and quests. I never played it, but am curious.

Just popping in to say thank you Roxanne(and others) who have constantly kept BWS and now BWS-EE alive.
Playing through BGs without mods is not very interesting nowadays and im not savvy enough to install a huge amount of mods without tools like these, to me there is no playing BGs without these tools.
I was thinking of waiting for a playthrough until 2.5 hits, but if i read the notes correctly it contains just mostly bug fixes for BGs.

I completely agree. Though I am hoping that with the release of the 2.5 patches that K4thos will ride in shortly thereafter with the IWD-in-EET mod!

Just for clarification: what would that mean for people who exclusively use the EE versions, but are dependent on BWS (due to lack of tech savvy)? Will it still work as normal until the release of the "New BWS"?

I wasn't aware that weidu doesn't recognize LANGUAGE variable for AUTO_TRA. Fixed version is up on Github, sorry for the problem.

Blash2: Necromancer: The mourning mother in Nashkell will not appear (the main quest is playable, only the daughter can't be brought home). The Novelist: probably won't show at all, or at least not at the end (which kind of spoils the whole encounter), Honest Lies of Both Riversides: you will hear the rumor about the ghosts but they will not show.
New fixed version is up.
Just attempted a BWS re-install so that I'd have the fixed version of BG1RE. Hit a snag with DSotSC during installation. Install Debug:

EDIT: Actually, nope. Just saw that K4thos made an update to DSotSC about 10 hours ago. Guess that's probably it.

Hm, interesting bug. During Fighter/Druid character creation, I can pick up any weapon - like 2H sword, for example - just fine, but in the shop window it remains red and can not be equipped in the game. So, here is my character with 2 pips in 2H sword unable to use one in game.

I can add, that no matter what I still can not roll half-elf Necromancer with both "remove race restriction" (class/kit) installed.
Would you (or anyone with the v3 "Loosen Restrictions for Druid Multi-Classes" component) mind taking a moment to roll a Fighter/Druid, go look at Winthrop's inventory, and see if long swords, etc. are red-tinted?

Weapons (and I assume Equipment) are still restricted to Druid.
The mod does what it is supposed to do, loosen up restrictions for "multi-class druids", that is fighter/druids. Normal, single-class druids are still restricted at always.
If you're looking for a mod that allows druids (and other classes) to use all weapons and equipment, try Ashes of Embers.
I didn't type my original post clearly. Was half asleep lol. Sorry about that.
I meant that the weapons were still restricted (unusable) for my Fighter/Druid.
note: Everything works correctly for Fighter/Clerics, though.

The important part is that there are dependencies and conflicts in any large install. BWS assists you by pointing out those detected and reported in forums - In manual install you need to figure them out yourself.
Which is the main reason why personally I'm so dependent on the BWS. There's just no way I could keep track of all the conflicts, dependencies, and install order of 100+ mods.

Drats. Still not working.
EDIT: Tell me this though; at any point in an EET game does Jaheira get back her BG2 sounds, or is she locked with only her BG1 sounds the entire time? (I'm only trying to install the "Use BG1+BG2 Character Sounds" component).

PS - this is not the only mod for which I found exactly the same issue. I can only download them if I disable my blockers for it.
Ahh, okay. I do have Ad Blocker. Is there a link I can go to, so that I can disable ad blocker for it and see if that helps?

It is the link the author personally provided and the one published everywhere, there is no alternative. The problem may be that it uses server github-production-release-asset-2e65be.s3.amazonaws.com, which spam/ad filters may not like.
Odd. I even tried just downloading it manually and placing it in the BW Downloads folder, but BWS still tries and fails to download it.

There is a need for one more universal weapon - crossbows. After all, that weapon was created to be as idiot-proof as clubs.

I don't know if it's something that I'm doing wrong, or if it's just vanilla behavior, but one thing that's always irked me in BG1 (BGEE) is when meeting Shar-Teel. She challenges you to a duel, saying she'll only fight men and only warriors. But my Fighter/Druid doesn't seem to qualify, and I always have to send Khalid in. Is there a way to make Fighter/X multi-classes qualify to fight her? Minor thing, I know, but thought I'd throw it out there.
