Ah, I see it--the code's checking for a projectile (only on abilities) while it's looping through global effects. Normally it would read the wrong place and, at worst, adds an unneeded but ultimately harmless global effect to an item. In this case, since the ability offset in the item is also wrong, it forces the read out of bounds and causes the component to fail.

    I've dropped a fixed tp2 on Github.

Thank you so much, CamDawg. I won't be able to try another install until later, but I'll confirm its success or failure here. Cheers =)

BWS is currently being updated to use V3. For such a complex mod this requires a bit of work.

    Thank Argent77 for doing this.

I'm confused. I just retried an install and got hit with the same error:

ERROR: illegal 2-byte read from offset 196 of 162-byte file C#AJ0011.ITM

ERROR: [C#AJ0011.ITM] -> [override/C#AJ0011.ITM] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("C#AJ0011.ITM: read out of bounds"))

ERROR: Failure("C#AJ0011.ITM: read out of bounds")

Is this something that will take some time to fix (like days or weeks) and I should just wait on standby?

  3. First thing I want to say is that for me personally, Tweaks Anthology is a 100% must-have. So thanks for that! =D

That being said, I'm very dependent on the BWS to make my mega-mod installations, and I only use EET for all my Baldur's Gate EE gaming goodness.

My most recent install failed and gave this message:

ERROR: illegal 2-byte read from offset 196 of 162-byte file C#AJ0011.ITM
ERROR: [C#AJ0011.ITM] -> [override/C#AJ0011.ITM] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("C#AJ0011.ITM: read out of bounds"))
ERROR: Failure("C#AJ0011.ITM: read out of bounds")
Lightning Bolts Don't Bounce (Angel) (Tweaks Anthology) was not installed due to errors.

Is there anything you can do, or something else that I can provide to help identify the problem?

Also, and I'm speaking out of ignorance here, but is there any way that Tweaks Anthology's future updates can be made more "BWS-Friendly". I don't know what would be involved with this. Please consult the wonderful Roxanne for that =)

    Thanks again!

EDIT: Sorry if this was the wrong place to post =(

  4. I for one cannot wait to get to have my Bhaalspawn go be the hero of Icewind Dale, as well as all the other stuff down south.

    No, really. I couldn't wait.

I started up a full EET run, with plans to go do another once IWD-in-EET comes out :p Lovin' it so far, and it gives me a good idea as to which mods to piece together for my full "canonical" run through the massive glory that is full EET. Call it a beta run.

I'm doing the exact same thing XD. Minus the "big mods" since this will be my first time playing from SoD onward. I'm REALLY looking forward to IWD-in-EET, but I'm even more interested in trying out the Sandrah Saga.

Only thing missing is a gameplay timer, so I can know just how many hundreds of hours I'm going to end up sinking into this thing :D

I've always wanted that feature as well! I hope someone figures out a way to implement one. I'd love to have an exact hour count after a FULL runthrough with all the big mods, IWDEE, Sandrah, etc. lol

  5.

To answer your question - no way to integrate IWD:EE into EET via BWS. See my previous post.

K4thos, do you mean it's just not possible *right now*?

After the IDWEE 2.X patch is released and IWD-in-EET is finished, THEN will it be possible to install it via BWS?

  6.

For anyone who is waiting for my promised merged patches... I am getting closer and still anticipate finishing tomorrow. I plan to validate everything with a BWS-EET test install, then officially enable EET in BWS as well.

Meanwhile, I'm also helping Lava with updates for the Colours of Infinity mods, including K4thos' EET patches, Fixpack patches, converted graphics, updated translations and improved compatibility (e.g., BP-BGT-Worldmap always compatible, instead of either/or with regular worldmap).

In short - plenty of improvements coming soon, thanks for your patience.

I've learned I'm very bad at estimates when it comes to this, but I am still working on the patches and making progress. The merge itself is effectively complete; I'm testing now.

There's no way that I can adequately express the amount of gratitude and appreciation I have for everyone who's involved in making this truly amazing project come to life.

  7. Silly question, but has this been integrated with the latest BWS? I'm assuming no since the different/seperate install instructions.

I wanna start a playthrough so bad lol. I bought BG EE on day one , same with BG2EE, and Siege of Dragonspear and yet to have really played any of them because i want that feeling of having a solid mega mod setup like the original games using BWS. I know it's weird to not even have beaten any of them yet, hell BGEE came out like what 3 years ago? I been patient though and waited this long so if it's not fully integrated i can keep waiting. :)

I'm in almost the exact same situation. I'm sure it will be a while still, before everything is up and stable in the BWS. But I'm waiting patiently. I check the forum every day to read about updates (and the conversations between modders that I couldn't even begin to understand lol). From everything I've ever read or seen, and what little I've played, I think the complete Enhanced Edition Trilogy - Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Siege of Dragonspear, Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale (!), Throne of Bhaal, and 17 years worth of mods (maybe it should be called a "Saga" instead of a "Trilogy" lol!) - all combined into one truly epic and seamless experience, will be the single greatest gaming experience of my life.

(Speaking of mods: Also, a shout out to Roxanne. I am crazy impressed by, and looking forward to playing it all with her Sandrah mod!)

K4thos, Alien, and everybody else who is contributing to this amazing project - you are my heroes! Thank you.

Thanks guys, I re-downloaded the patches as a .zip this time, rather than individually, and have around two dozen mods installed now. The only ones that didn't install were Thrown Hammers, and SCS. In my oh-so scientific method, I also dropped Weidu 23902 on-top of the EET install, but I'm pretty sure it still said 23901 when I ran it. Probably some other mod like BPSeries AI interfered with SCS. We'll see how it goes. Can't wait until this is all ironed-out and integrated into BWS. Perhaps Faerun shall expand further...

*Shivers in anticipation... while imagining the possibilities*

  9.

Is it still planned to be able to go to IWD with BG2 characters in your party? I was wondering since K4thos mentioned the plot integration might be connected to SoD. I'd love to hear banter and interjections from as many NPC's as possible!

And thank you for the README, Roxanne =)

    It'll be available from both BG1 and BG2 :)

Like Kathos said, I'm working with him on a plot centric reason to go to the original IWD campaign that fits into the saga comfortably. I don't think we're ready to reveal that quite yet but as we get closer we'll probably say more. It's not going to be a huge rewrite or mega-quest or anything but it'll be a little hook that's simple but (imo) pretty interesting.

For now, all my work on writing party reactions/interjections into IWD remain fairly agnostic to how the party got there, mostly just bantering with each other or remarking on the events of the campaign itself. And there's banters/remarks for all BG1 AND BG2 companion characters and kind of a lot of them, I probably remarked I had written over 1500 lines in the other thread... it's getting substantially longer than that even... I'm actually revisiting and cutting stuff because I'm worried the party might be *too* chatty haha

I'm super excited to share that all with you eventually :D

    Noooo! XD

  10. Is it still planned to be able to go to IWD with BG2 characters in your party? I was wondering since K4thos mentioned the plot integration might be connected to SoD. I'd love to hear banter and interjections from as many NPC's as possible!

  11.

Thank you very much for the info, Roxanne =)

I can't wait for the day when I can play though all of EET + IWD + tons of other mods, and all with Sandrah by my side ^__^

I still wait for this http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27741&page=13&do=findComment&comment=246214 to release the mod.

    At least NTotSC is essential.

IWD contents would install like any other mod if Sandrah finds it during the own installation process.

I'll most likely have to wait until everything is install-able via BWS, anyway

Do you have an updated README for Sandrah yet? I'd love to check it out!

  12. I was just wondering if the plan was still to have IWD be a location on the world map that you could just randomly go to for no reason.

Personally, I'd really like to see CHARNAME and party be given a reason in-game to optionally go there, so that it feels more like a large side-quest or an expansion. I think just randomly picking up and going to IWD just for giggles would just feel a little odd to me. Can one or some of you amazing modders/writers please think on it, at least? =)

Also, thank you immensely to everyone who is working on, and contributing to this amazing project. Seriously.

    @Ser Elryk

The list was not intended to be complete, it just asked for a few mods that have shown little/no activities for a long while.

I am confident that many other mods (including those you added) will be converted pretty soon when EET is published and will gather momentum among players and modders.

Awesome to hear! Thank you for enlightening me! ^__^

  14.

Any plans to eventually make these EET-compatible? I care about Dace the most.

At this point only if author shows interest in adding EET compatibility natively. In such case I can create patches for all those above mentioned NPCs myself (if they already have BG2:EE version), ready to be internalized by authors. But the point is that the entire section "Mods that can be installed after EET on BG2:EE but MUST BE PATCHED FIRST" is meant to be temporary, not permanent solution. If there is no willingness to do so than hosting unofficial patches may be actually against author's will. It's also not practical considering they become obsolete each time the mod is updated. Of course if the mod is not supported any more than creating and hosting compatibility patches for such mods is ok by me.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the info. I've been wondering about the mods that are EE-compatible but haven't been updated in a year or two. I really hope that by the time that EET and IWD-in-EET are BWS-ready and stable that the Imoen Romance mod will be made compatible (either by the author, or by you if the mod hasn't been updated in a while by that time). Dace is EE-compatible, but hasn't been updated since 2013 I believe.

And THANK YOU again for all the hard work! =D

  15.

Is the list on the first page still up-to-date? Just wondering if I can go ahead and pre install stuff on BG1EE in anticipation of EET's release.. :)

If the BG2:EE mods version numbers haven't been changed compared to what is in first post than they should work - need testing (I will install all of them later today to find out if patches are still working). There shouldn't be problems with BG:EE mods, even if the version number no longer matches.

    Some changes:

    - patch for Imoen Romance Mod v3.4 has been removed from the list - there have been several updates of this mod and my request to implement native support for EET have been ignored, so no point in updating the patch over and over

K4thos, does this mean that the Imoen Romance Mod will NOT be compatible with EET? Please say it ain't so! =*(
