GemBR generate display, but screen turns black. I can only see cursor from bg2. In fullscreen mode i'm able to write in command line which appears in downside of the scr.

 

I have installed GemBR 2.8 and BG2:SoA.

First i have compiled my GemBR and GemBR (not SoA!) was working, however later i use *.run install and didn't remove all libs downloaded to compile. I've tried to move Start.py to other places, but it also didn't work.

 

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

You seem to be still running 0.2.6 and not 0.2.8.

Your filesystem seems to be case sensitive, make sure your gemrb.cfg contains CaseSensitive=1

I've changed:

and it works!

 

I started a new game and when mine character was finished and i clicked 'accept' some error apears, also game hangs... :)

I use Polish version of BG2, but subtitles are in english! How can i change that?

Do i have to search in override directory or smth... :D

I'm sure this is an old guiscript.

If not, then a very recent bug :)

 

About the subtitles: i don't have a polish game so i don't know where it hides the polish subtitles.

Are they in a different tlk?

Are they in the same tlk but different strref?

The subtitle strrefs are given by the game, please hunt them down :D

(look for moviename.2da files)

or chaptxtX.2da files ?

Where I have too look for that .2da files?

I will copy bg2 from windows, then everything will be ok, because to install on linux i

used script in english, which bring some improvments to bg2, especially for winex.

 

You were right about version of gemrb - it's 2.6 (I saw that when running bg2)

I can't believe...

I have installed this *.run

 

gemrb_0.2.8-english.run

 

and yesterday i have compiled gemrb 2.8 from offical download site...

How can i remove an old version and install 2.8?

 

There is some uninstal script?

 

I think all probelms will disappear when i'll be running correctly compiled gemrb 2.8.

Thanks Avenger, :D I'm missing one step to play bg2, but:

 

I can't play the game even on compiled by myself gemrb 2.8. It have to many bugs for me, eg. when the game starts, jon irenicus is throwing a spell, and he is moving his hands make that. But even he talk to the golem, he is make same motions! And he didn't disapper when he should to... Thief who should die is standing next to me when i go out from cage...

 

Is that allright? What I'm doing wrong?

I have compiled gemrb-0.2.8.tar.gz from this site http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10122

 

then how can I use 0.2.6? I have completly remove all gemrb installations from my pc

If you don't mind I will post in Polish :)

 

I will copy bg2 from windows, then everything will be ok, because to install on linux i

used script in english, which bring some improvments to bg2, especially for winex.
