Jarno Mikkola
You need to start the game and watch the initial cutscene at least once before installing the WSM. Yes, and after the game autosaves, one can start this by exiting the game and...... The installation process to get 1650x1050 res. that is if your monitor and videocard can handel it.Start the exe and extract it to the game folder, after this it ask's a questions, do as the bolded letters say. Would you like to display the readme? [Y]es [N]o Push N and Enter Install Component [Widescreen mod]? nstall, or [N]ot Install or [Q]uit? Push I and Enter Enter your X coordinate. It should be a number, >= 800. Insert 1650 , and push Enter Enter your Y coordinate. It should be a number, >= 600. Insert 1050 , and push Enter Do you want fullscreen? (doesn't work for non-standard resolutions) 1 = yes 0 = no Push 1 and Enter 1650x1050, fullscreen. Are you sure? Y/N Push Y . Done!! Start the game the exe. Link to comment

Guest The Rog
You need to start the game and watch the initial cutscene at least once before installing the WSM. I'm having the same problem. I've started the game several times. Every time I reinstall the Widescreen patch I have to go into the Config menu. When I then get into the game I got 800 x 600 res. If I go through the config menu and then enter the game, exit, then reinstall the widescreen patch everything goes back to default. Please help! I really want to see what BG looks like in 1680x1050! the bigg
Looks correct. Can you define how is it not working correctly? Also, remember that WSM must be uninstalled when you run the dummy game. Link to comment
Guest Conrad
The way its not working is when I start up baldurs gate soa it stays in 600x400 res. However I installed BG2 soa and tob on another PC which has a normal monitor res, I ran BG2 installed the wsm and it worked I was able to set the res to 1600x1200 np, but I really want to be able to run it on my laptop as its the only PC i use a lot. I don't really have a clue what wrong thx, Conrad. Link to comment
Guest Guest
btw I'm also sure that I uninstalled wsm before running the dummy game, but can you define which cut scene i need to wait for? is it the intro movie or the opening scene of the game, whch is what I've been waiting for. On my other PC I installed SoA and ToB the only actual difference is that I started up ToB instead of SoA. But I can't imagine that that matters because it was in 1600x1200 from the first introduction movie. Thx for the help! Conrad. Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
but can you define which cut scene i need to wait for? It's the one with Irenicus, you can exit after his little speech and Imoen comes to you, as the game autosaves itself. That's after you have started a new game and created a new char or continued with old. 1600x1200 You sure the video card and monitor in the laptop can handle this. And the game can't run 600x400 res. as there is no such resolution status for monitors... Link to comment
