Guest Bracey Posted October 8, 2008 Share Posted October 8, 2008 Hi. I have just dowloaded Kivan and installed him as I would any other mod. When I play however, his dialog comes up only as other random dialog from the rest of the game. Any ideas why this happens or how to fix this problem greatly appreciated. I have the following mods/patches installed in this order: Official TOB patch. BG2 Fixpack. Dungeon-be-Gone. Xan (by Kulyok) Kivan. Link to comment
BigRob Posted October 9, 2008 Share Posted October 9, 2008 Sounds a bit like a case of having the game, or a modding program running while installing the mod to my untrained ear. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, see if that helps. Link to comment
Domi Posted October 9, 2008 Share Posted October 9, 2008 It sounds like a dialogue.tlk corruption, unless it only affects the soundset. You will need to do a clean game re-install if it's the dialogue.tlk issue. If it's just the soundset, chose the PID option of 'Kivan you sound strange', and it should fix the dynamic strings.
