[BG2:ToB] - CreateCreatureDoor()

It seems that the delay between invoking the CreateCreatureDoor() action and the moment at which the spawned creature actually becomes visible in-game is hardcoded. It's always set to a fixed amount of AI cycles, regardless of the duration of the Dimension Door animation (SPDIMNDR.VVC). The delay lenght is approximately 3.5 seconds at a frame rate of 30 AI cycles (default).


This becomes apparent when a shorter animation for Dimension Door is used. In that case, the creature created by this action appears to spawn out of thin air, often a second or two seconds after the animation has played. The same applies for CreateCreatureObjectDoor().
