lynx
I know the original bard song is hardcoded, but where is the new bard song stored? I expected to see the new resref somewhere in the creature file, however nothing significant has changed. Neither in unknown fields. I started a tob game with a plain bard then exported her. Then I cheated in a modified onyx ring that had this spell effect, equipped it and then exported again. The diff (created via a hacked* ieparse) is available here: http://pastebin.com/aDRBzUfE There's a slight chance that the effect didn't trigger (duration: while equipped), but my use doesn't look much different from the few other uses in mods. So, does anyone know where this effect stores the new song info? I hope it is not tucked into the gam. * the chr's are of format version 2.1, but were compared as if they were 2.0 Link to comment
Guest wut
duration: while equipped That's why. While equipped effects are not attached to the on disc version of their parent .cre. Use another timing mode and you'll see it in the usual list. Link to comment
lynx
It's the same with a mode of "permanent". Link to comment
Avenger
Bard song is stored in the effect that is attached to the creature. Just like weapon proficiencies. I thought this works in gemrb... I guess, if it is 'while equipped' then it isn't saved in the cre. Link to comment
lynx
No, we don't handle it yet. So it is still a question of which stat is modified, it just doesn't get saved. Link to comment
