Can I keep a talk from occurring?

Every time (and it's probably my install) Edwin starts his banter beginning with "Gavin, my good friend..." about his foot rash the conversation doesn't finish; it stops my game entirely and all the bars and stuff vanish so I can't do anything but manually close the game and restart, hoping to buy some time.

 

Is there a way I can keep that talk from firing in the first place?

If you're using the latest version, that script is removed.

 

If you want to keep that talk from occurring, select Edwin's portrait, and with the mouse hovering over Edwin's portrait, open the console and type in

 

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("B!GavEdw4","LOCALS",1)

Thank you. I thought I did have the latest version, but in my absence a new one must have come along! Thanks much, I'll do that! Next time I'll get to see that dialogue. :)
